4 Fabulous Tips for Positive Parties
Our technological world offers us many ways to connect with clients worldwide.
Reading one on one or in large groups is not as common as it once was but still affords a valuable venue for work.
I have years of experience reading for events, companies, groups and parties and it’s still a favorite way for me to have fun and make clients.
Professionally, there are a few things I always do to ensure I create a mutually beneficial experience for all of us.
I don’t want to give the impression that I am part of a side show or a psychic slot machine that pops out yes and no answers.
All my clients sign a waiver or disclaimer. This can be worded to encompass an individual or group. Simple waivers help protect you from any legal repercussions or confusion and sets realistic expectations.
Disclaimers appear on every reputable psychic website and usually say something like readings are not meant to replace medical care etc.
Clients and I retain a signed copy and in 40 years I have not had one single issue.
Privacy is paramount in this work both to my clients and myself. I do not use my real name when I work. This protects my personal privacy and my families. I work under my business name only.
I screen all potential clients with a brief introductory discussion. I do not work with everyone. I choose whom I work with.
At one time I read for anyone and everyone and ended up being drained and underpaid. Learning to use my inner wisdom and discretion has increased my business threefold and has drawn in a quality clientele.
The heart of the matter. Working events means different personalities so I always offer several forms of divination bearing in mind what one person might resonate with might not work for another.
Usually I offer psychic counsel, tarot cards, runes, numerology, astrology, pendulums and playing cards. For more esoteric groups I use more obtuse oracles like Belline , psychic geometry or geomancy.
Mediumship work is a sole category and as this takes quite a lot of energy, I do not offer it with other forms of divination.
4. Deposits and Disbursement:
I ask for deposits for all parties and groups. It is usually $100.00, non-refundable and payable in advance by cash, credit card, cleared check or PayPal. I keep copies of all receipts for my records. The balance is payable when the party/event is done and by whatever payment means most convenient to the client.
Since I often deal with business professionals, this is often by check made out to my business. The cost depends on length of time and how far I must travel. I keep things simple with a flat hourly rate which increases a bit for every additional person over 10 .
Parties and events can be a positive, profitable and fun experience.
Discussing the needs of my clients and what I require to work beforehand, (table, quiet room, water, fees, etc.) whilst using my discretion has allowed me to thrive as a professional psychic.
Everyone runs their business differently and no one way is right. There are as many ways as there are psychics.
How do you run your business?
What payment forms do you accept?
What do you think?
