Cleaning Your Professional Reading Tools
Every year we spend one or two weekends cleaning out rooms, closets, cupboards and the like. As those who read for others in this lifetime, it’s also important to periodically clean up our tools. Here are a few ways to clean some of the tools we use every day to help those who need us:
ORACLE DECK: Cleansing an oracle deck is fairly easy to do. Simply put the cards back into the numeric or alphabetic order they arrived in and leave them like that overnight. In the morning, re-shuffle and they are ready to go.
TAROT DECK: Again, a simple process like the oracle. Place them in order according to the book that came with them or the major and minor arcana(s).
CRYSTALS: These can be time-consuming to clean if you are new to this tool. Place the stones in a bowl of water, add sea salt if desired to the water, and leave in a windowsill for three nights. On the morning of the fourth day, remove the stones from the bowl, rinse them, holding them in your hand, and place back in the window for another 24 hours. Once they are cleansed, they are ready to be blessed and used again.
CLASSIC PLAYING CARD DECK: This is not a deck you want to cleanse. If two or more people have used the deck, consider it tainted and replace it all together. This type of deck has an interesting twist to it. The more you use it, the more energy it builds up. The energy is the truth. Good or bad, it is the truth. This deck can be cleansed using the same methods as the Oracle or Tarot decks, but its usually best to let the energy build up.
READING AREA: This is an easy cleanse. Use a bowl with salt water and a white rag and wipe down the surface. If you want, you can place a few drops of an essential oil on a rag and gently wipe the newly cleaned surface.
These are just a few suggestions for a few tools we use in everyday readings. What do you do to cleanse your professional work tools? Leave a note in the comments below.
PsychicPro Project Coordinator
I've been providing readings for as long as I can remember. By the time I was a teenager, my friends would often come to me for advice. Somehow I was always able to see the clear path before them to achieve positive results. As I grew, I began to learn more skills and discipline in my practice. Throughout my twenties and thirties, I traveled around the world meeting other lightworkers like myself. I learned so much from other readers. Eventually, I learned that my true calling went beyond providing readings and actually reaching out and helping other lightworkers and spiritual beings achieve their professional goals.
At PsychicPRO I tend to be the front line of communication with the readers looking for our services. I coordinate new projects to make sure everyone is on the same page and assist with Design and Promotions.
