The Date of Birth
Using the Client’s Date of Birth
A good way to begin your call is by asking your client their DOB. This can be a very insightful way to learn a little about your callers and connect to them.
Knowing their date of birth can help you with astrological love compatibility, past lives and past loves. It can also help you chart potential paths for them based on celestial events such as the second Saturn return.
Of course, one’s sign is not a one size fits all consideration, so be careful not to box your callers in their “sign” and be expansive in your knowledge and explanation.
Knowing the astrological sign can give you insight into how a caller may respond to how you say something. Seasoned astrologers will pick this up right away but for those you less familiar keeping a little chart nearby with the signs, dates and basic traits can be hugely helpful and assist in filling in gaps if your caller is quiet.
A lot of callers expect you to know their sign when they give you their birthday and I have had many callers also tell me their moon sign and ascendant. These callers may be astrologically attuned themselves or they may be simply interested in what you have to say about it.
Either way, the more you know, the more you can wow your callers with knowledge, and the more insight and guidance you can offer.
Another quick tip of the trade using the DOB can be found in numerology. If the caller is comfortable giving you their birth year you can easily do the calculations and present an entire reading in just a minute or two based on the numbers alone.
This will include the birth number, soul number, soul urge number, challenge number and many more. If a caller is leery about giving out their birth year you can still add all the letters in their name and have every interesting thing to tell them.
Apply this to their life and questions and you have an incredible reading and a client that will call you back.
Now you have several layers of information based on the DOB but don’t stop there. Take those aspects deeper and you will see that astrology, tarot and numerology align affording a plethora of information available to you that is nothing short of amazing.
There are other insights to bring your caller as well. We are all familiar with the concept of the birthstone, so you can add crystal healing to your guidance when it is appropriate.
All herbs and plants are governed by dates and season and every astrological sign has alignments with them all. Every birthday has a gemstone, a tree, an herb, a flower, an essence, a cell salt, a mineral, an animal and a bird.
So, when your caller tells you they are a cancer, you immediately know they are ruled by the moon, their gem is moonstone or calcite, their mineral is calcium their flower is moonflower, their oil is rose, their animals are crabs and scarabs, their bird is owl and their tree is Oak. You will also know in which areas what their emotional challenges and strengths lie.
All your client will say is Wow!
All signs follow a similar pattern and there are charts and books that offer this information in easy formats that you can easily reference for those less familiar.
The DOB is a humble yet powerful key for you to utilize. The information’s goes far beyond their zodiac sign. If you know the DOB, you will never run out of things to discuss.
Do you ask for the DOB?
How do you apply it?
