Why the Silent Client is a Super Client

by | Aug 1, 2018 | Advice For Psychic PROfessionals | 13 comments

Many of us have experienced a silent client.

They just want us to “see” or “feel” whatever we can for them. They may be uneasy or want to test us. Though this may seem off-putting at first, it is an amazing opportunity for your gifts to shine.

I have spoken with many readers who feel frustrated or uncertain by silence, but silence is its own language. Listening intuitively and using your gifts will allow you to wow them. It’s a great way to lay a foundation for connection and return callers.

Whether your client is on the phone/skype/chat or sitting in front of you all the below tips of the trade apply. You may wish to explain briefly how you work or invite them to interject during the reading if you are comfortable doing so. Make this very brief and then begin.

1. Trust Your Gifts and Guides.

Even without question, your gifts are powerful, and information will flow. Don’t use your logical mind to try and figure out what you think you caller might want to know.

Remember you are reading your client and their energies. Go with what you receive. Most people love to know about themselves so start by reading what you feel around them. Ask your guides to assist you and move forward with confidence.

2. Use Your Tools.

If you are on the phone, draw a card, pull a rune, remote view or check your moon calendar to see planetary aspects. Whatever metaphysical assets you utilize they can be of great help when you are reading a silent client. All the different symbolism present on tarot cards alone is enough to give you a clear image of what your caller may need to know.

3. What Else…

If they are with you, have them choose the cards or runes. This can show you clear patterns both spiritual and practical. If you are channeling, working as medium or reading energy be confident and clear with what you receive.

Speak from a heart centered place of compassion and check in with your client to see of they have any questions. Complete your work with a possible outcome, action suggestions and recap.

If your client still has nothing to say, even at the end of the reading, that is perfectly fine. Not everyone is comfortable speaking up, don’t take this personally.

A silent client is an opportunity to wow and shine.

Bring forward guidance and clarity on a variety of topics and weave it together creating a positive experience. Your silent client is asking your help psychically, spiritually and emotionally.

So, gals and guys, the next time your client is silent, You Go! Most of the time, they will call you back with plenty to ask.

How do you work with silent client?

I love it when they don’t have any questions or tell you anything at the start… it makes my life easier because I’m not being distracted and can hone right in on their situation. I find it to be a better read when the client doesn’t have any questions.

I think it is hard to read for someone who is silent, but not impossible. I think she has some good advice on how to handle these types of clients, because we can’t always pick and choose who we read for. Thanks for this article!

I find it difficult to read for callers who don’t have anything to ask but seem to want to just test me. I just started doing phone readings and my first two callers said things like “you’re the psychic, shouldn’t you know why I’m calling” and it was downhill from there. Would LOVE to see a post about how to deal with these pain in the #%% clients:) !

I totally understand what you are saying with this. I find it helpful to explain my methods and how psychic readings actually work before the reading to shut this kind of behavior down.

I find that some of the clients who think they are testing you are really going to the other extreme and blocking you. When someone has that “show me” attitude, it can feel like an energetic brick wall.

Its not so much the questions I want…. I actually don’t like too many questions because if the client doesn’t get the answer they want I find they start rephrasing the same question over and over again. I do like subject matter though. For example if a client wants to know about their Love life I prefer for them to tell me so instead of saying nothing at all. I find a lot of times what they want to know about and what they NEED to know about don’t always match up and for silent clients it can be frustrating because they may not be ready to address the truth of that “need to know subject” yet. And for new clients that I don’t have a repore with that can make them defensive or even straight out lie to me (I despise that… Don’t go to a psychic and try to lie or go around issues) I am a straightforward and honest reader. I don’t sugar coat and you may not always like what I am going to say and that is why the newer the client the more I want to converse. There is a level of trust that needs to be built. Many of us aren’t just readers, we are spiritual councillors. If you are an ordained minister you legally are certified to provide this form of counciling. It’s important to remember that. I take my job very seriously and I am not a fortune teller so I need some form of communication between my client and myself. Not as much for the sake of the reading as to build trust and a strong client/advisor relationship with my clients.

I’ve found that a totally silent client is one who is in pain, and either can’t articulate the source of their pain or they choose NOT to. When I do my tarot spread, I always explain what symbols are coming up, what they represent and how that relates to the caller. I find that when Spirit leads, it normally gets to the heart of the issue and THEN the client will confirm in some way or start asking probing questions.

I do ask at the start of a session what area of their life the client wants me to explore so that I have a general direction and understanding of what I am seeing in the cards. And if they just request a general reading, I introduce it by saying, “Let’s see where Spirit wants to take us.” It often isn’t in the direction the caller expected or secretly wanted, but it normally is something they need to hear or learn.

I never feel as though I’ve served the silent client as well as I could, but if they provide some acknowledgement that my perceptions are on track and / or the information and counsel I gave was good, then I’ve served them in the way they can accept at the time.

I became aware of my gifts at age 3 when I began seeing spirits in my room.

My mother and grandmother were both gifted and from a very young age, I was taught to respect nature and to read her signs along with herbalism, tarot cards, and healing.

I have worked in the healing and psychic world for many years and have taught, read and counseled and written.  I trained with many masters and have studied to enhance my gifts in Italy, Greece and many places in the US.

I work with PsychicPRO as a writer and to help readers find their best possible employment in an environment that enhances and honors their abilities. It is an honor to do this work and I look forward to helping you do yours.
